it was going to be my third time, & there were events i have not seen and places i have not been there
.... like the change of guard , the stonehenge, here & there ... hehehe ... sumer tempat nak gi kann. so, my sis
& adrin planned the trip.
we ( me, my dotter dhamira, niece ika, sister, bro-in-law (bil), & his two nieces adrin & fin - wait: did she say never to call her fin ?? ) went to london in april 2010, & stayed at a close family friend of my bil in north finchley. when we got there, the whole family were on holiday in italy ... so, we buat macam rumah sendiri laa ... tak laa macam betul2 rumah sendiri, but we cooked, did the laundry, watched tv, & accessed their internet .... tak macam rumah sendiri ker ?

i cant remember whether it was catching the change-of-guard first, or the trip ... but i'll tell u about the guard parade first. we left home a little late, got off the wrong station, walked to the horse guard parade instead of the palace. but we managed to catch the marching, & exchanging of the guards. i stood right in the middle of the roundabout infront of the palace gate, among the crowd of tall people. i somehow squeezed my way to the front for a good view.
just a few pairs of clark sandals, handbags ...hehehe
the next morning, my bil & adrin went out to get the rented car ... a 7-seater. after a "slight anxiety" over the garmin, it finally "spoke", & we were on our way. day 1 : we set our first destination to bath ... its to the west of london ... can u see it on the map ?
it was quite a distant, but not a minute we found it to be boring. the view was a very serene landscape all the way ... i did not capture nice pics, but see for urself !

we finally got to the roman bath ...
& roam the square ...

from bath, we head on southeast towards amesbury (northeast from salisbury on d map) .... parked at an almost full carpark ... walked to the wide field beside it & had our packed lunch ... hungryyyyyyyyyy

..... & we walked "towards" the stonehenge as close as camera view as possible
at 17pound per entry/person, we thot we have better use of the money ....
thus zooming is our strategy ... nice view watttt
from outside the gate .... & so i finally got here
we continued east to windsor (close to slough on the map) ... windsor castle
it was slightly after 5, i think, & the castle was closed for visitors for the day
& houses ...
with a beautiful scene ...
..... & we walked "towards" the stonehenge as close as camera view as possible

we went home after that to prepare for our trip up north to manchester (refer map) early the next morning
day2 : not exactly sure where this is ... we stopped for lunch by the lake at the gas station & rest area
with the ducks flying over our heads .... scarrrryyyyyyyyy
look at how hungry ika was .... tak nampak dah mak mertua lalu sebelah !
after we checked in at the motel in manchester, we went hunting for the old trafford
& found it ... the tour & souvenir shop was already closed
we went home after that to prepare for our trip up north to manchester (refer map) early the next morning

day 3: to the kop early net morn ...
the tour was like 15pound per head ... so we opted not to
the others went "shopping" at the souvenir shop
then we went shopping at the biggest outlet there .... cheshire oak
its quite a wide area actually ... but we didnt shop much

while i ran around looking at mix & match items ...
my sis was choosing the complete set ...
suddenly my bil kena parkinson nak sign the credit card
we went back to north finchley from there. it was quite a journey, & everyone got home tired & hungry. tuan rumah pon dah balik from their hols. my first time meeting the family ... a friendly bunch !
